China-Hungary Workshop Webinar was Held in Southwest University

Chongqing – on July 30, China-Hungary Workshop was held and organized by the College of Food Science, Southwest University in Chongqing. As the College of Food Science has cooperated with Hungarian schools and research institutes since the early 2000s, there is collaboration in research and exchange for years. On July 30, there are guests from the Hungarian Consulate General in Chongqing. Chinese-Hungarian Technology Transfer Center in Chongqing, as well as guests from Hungary online, they are Mr. Luo Qing, First Secretary, Embassy of China in Budapest, and representatives from Hungary Food Science Research Institute (FSRI), and National Agricultural Research and Innovation Centre (NAIK).


In the workshop, Mr. Diossi Lorand, Hungarian Consul General in Chongqing, and Mr. Luo Qing, First Secretary of Embassy of China in Budapest, had delivered speeches to send their greetings during the pandemic on a webinar. They expressed that it was an excellent opportunity to increase exchanges and cooperation between China and Hungary in the fields of technical talents, technological achievements, venture capital, and industrialization.


Dr. Zsolt Zalan and Dr.Du Muying introduced the Chinese and Hungarian bilateral cooperative projects to all guests during the workshop. The Chinese-Hungarian Cooperative Research Center for Food Science at Southwest University is a model of the international scientific and technological cooperation for Hungary. Through the opening of the “Chinese-Hungarian Cooperative Research Center for Food Science” in Hungary, the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau commissioned a delegation from the China-Hungary Technology Transfer Center to visit the Hungarian National Agricultural Research and Innovation Center in 2018, and the cooperation has laid a solid foundation. The visit to the Technology Transfer Center and the Food Research Institute of the Hungarian National Agricultural Research and Innovation Center reached a consensus on the specific cooperation direction and content and signed the “Promotion of the Chinese-Hungarian Agricultural and Food Technology Cooperation Memorandum”. And it has achieved positive results. This workshop is also a specific measure to implement the consensus of the two parties at that time.

“This workshop also seeks policy conditions from the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau for the scientific and technological cooperation between the two parties and promotes the cooperation between our city and Hungary. Science and technology exchanges and cooperation have reached a new level and jointly create a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win results”, said Mr. Li Hai, Dean of Chinese-Hungarian Technology Transfer Center.
