GE Liangpeng has long been engaged in research and development of animal resources. His team established the only sterile pig breeding and application platform in China. Ge undertook a number of researches on intestinal flora and the development and quality evaluation of biomedical products, cultivated the only humanized antibody mouse in China, which ended the period of foreign technology monopoly and provides the core experimental animal for the original innovation of the human antibody medicine industry in China. His team is the first one in the world that broke through the bottleneck of pig's super gene editing technology and obtained substantial progress on humanized antibody pig breeding applied for protection and control of sudden biosecurity incidents(eg. SARS, Ebola).
